Here's an outline of the homework for this week.

Reading -  'Looking After Zara' Last week they were asked to read to page 20. This week please read up to page 24. We are working on chunking our words. If your child finds it difficult to pronounce a word they should look for chunks they know.

 Example: yes-ter-day: yesterday.

There are two groups who will get their new book at their stations during the week. Please check for comprehension.

• Spellings: Please learn the list of spellings for the test on Friday. This week the spellings are based on revision of 'll, ff,ss/zz' sounds.

• Thematic Words: These are words relating to the theme in class of Myself. These words also relate to topics being covered in Learn Together, SESE and English. The children should know the meaning of these words and be able to read and discuss them by Friday.

The children wrote these words out in class today so if you could check that they have spelled them correctly. The spelling practice sheets were put into their spelling folders but some children forgot their folder today so if it is at home can you put the sheet in tonight.

The children are starting Tables this week. The first set are +2. On Friday they will have a tables test along with their spelling test.
