**Team Teaching: For the next 5 weeks, the children will be working in small
groups with a support teacher everyday. They will be working on literacy. The
children will get a new reader everyday. Reading should be practiced at home.
Please sign the reading log every night.
Please make sure that there is a pencil, ruler and red pen in your child's folder.
Folders need to be in school everyday.
Spellings: Please learn the 10 spellings for test on Friday (Revision of 'ch', 'sh', and 'th')

Welcome to 1st Class!
Welcome to Rachel's 1st Class blog!
I hope everyone is settling in well and I look forward to getting to know you all better over the coming weeks.
I will update the blog throughout the school year with class homework, spellings, topics we are learning about, class news, events and any important dates and notices.
Homework for the week will be sent home on a Monday in your child's homework folder and collected on Fridays. Generally there will be 1 piece of Maths and 1 piece of English written homework per night along with spellings and Maths tables. Weekly spelling and table tests will be held on Fridays. Reading homework will be gradually introduced over the coming weeks.
The blog will be updated every Monday with the weeks homework, spellings and thematic words.
